Creativity lifts me — it’s where I gain energy, clarity, and a renewed sense of self.

I count myself enormously blessed to spend time between our homes on Cape Town’s West Coast and in the little Overberg village of Kleinmond.

South Africa’s vivid light, bold colours, and expansive landscapes are a constant source of inspiration, often filling me to bursting. Ours is a wonderfully ‘scratchy’ country with a layered, complicated history, yet there’s an undeniable warmth in both our people and our land. Texture is everywhere here, rewarding anyone who chooses to look closely.

I paint for connection. My hope is that viewers feel a personal link with my images — whether they spark memories of a cherished place, recall a fleeting moment, or simply offer a gentle prompt to bask in colour and light. I want my art to inspire and uplift, to serve as a reminder of beauty in both the ordinary and the extraordinary.
